Dennis
Morgenstern concentrates his practice in the
area of personal injury litigation, including
automobile accidents, product liability, medical
malpractice, and general negligence cases.

Betsey
Herd's commitment
to the safe practice of medicine, reform on behalf
of the nation's frail elders, and litigation on
behalf of victims of others' negligence are driven
by her personal experience.

Mr. Morgenstern also represents railroad employees,
in claims under the Federal Employers' Liability
Act (FELA), as well as seamen and longshoremen,
in claims under the Jones Act and Section 905(b)
of the Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation
Act (LHWCA), for injuries incurred in the course
of their employment.
After
16 years of practice in Pittsburgh, Mr. Morgenstern
moved to Tampa in September 1998. Before starting
his own law firm in May 2000, Mr. Morgenstern
was associated with the Law Offices of Peter J.
Brudny, until April 30, 2000.
Mr.
Morgenstern graduated from the United States Military
Academy at West Point (New York) in 1973. After
six years on active duty in the Army, serving
both in the United States and Germany, he attended
and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh
School of Law.
Mr.
Morgenstern has been awarded the highest (“AV”)
rating, by Martindale Hubbell, and is a member
of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization
whose membership is limited to "trial lawyers
who have demonstrated exceptional skill, experience,
and excellence in advocacy by achieving a trial
verdict, award or settlement in the amount of
one million dollars or more."
Mr. Morgenstern is a consistent supporter of Hillsborough
County Bar Association programs, to include Ask-A-Lawyer
and the Lawyer Referral Service. He is also a
member of and active in the Tampa Bay Inn of Court,
the Florida Justice Association and the Tampa
Bay Trial Lawyers Association.

Prior to practicing law,
Ms. Herd served as a clinical
manager for one of the largest hospital systems
in the country, Methodist Health System, and helped
manage outpatient/inpatient
rehabilitation programs nationwide with Cardiopulmonary
Rehabilitation Centers. She has eighteen years
combined medical and legal experience, providing
her unique insight into the intersection of law
and medicine, especially related cardiac health.
Ms.
Herd earned her
Bachelors
degree at the University of Florida, her Masters
in cardiovascular physiology at Wake Forest University
and her Juris Doctorate at Memphis State University.
Her
practice areas include personal injury; automobile
litigation and medical malpractice.
A member of the Florida
Justice Association (formerly the Academy of Florida
Trial Lawyers) since 1997, Ms. Herd currently
serves as secretary of the Women's Caucus, has
been a member of the FJA Board of Directors for
7 years, served on the Executive Committee, and
is an EAGLE program sponsor. She has participated
in the legislative campaigns designed to promote
consumer awareness since 2000. She has also presented
at various auto negligence and CLE seminars, and
is immediate past President of the Tampa Bay Trial
Lawyers.
Additionally,
in 2004 Ms. Herd served by appointment by the
President of the Florida Senate on the Mammography
Accessibility Workgroup. She also received the
Secretary of Health's Award for her service.
Ms.
Herd spends a substantial portion of her time
lobbying for victims' rights in Tallahassee and
has testified before the legislature against laws
proposed to restrict the rights of victims of
